Dear Diary: July 19, 2025 - New Beginnings for Me Personally and My Creativity

From the desk of Amanda Jeans

Today feels like the kind of day I’ll look back on and remember exactly how the air felt — a little thick with that familiar Texas humidity, but full of possibility.

Driftwood & Linen is officially live.

Even typing that feels surreal. This space — this idea — has been living quietly in the back of my mind for years. It started as a whisper: what if I did something just for me? What if I created a space to share the things I love — home, style, connection — and offered them with meaning and care?

For a long time, I poured my energy into helping others build their dreams. And I still do — proudly, passionately. As Co-CEO of a multi-brand company with my powerhouse mother-in-law, Veronica Jeans, we’ve helped countless entrepreneurs launch, grow, and thrive. It's rewarding in ways I never imagined. But Diftwood & Linen? It’s something different. It’s personal. It’s mine.

Born out of the desire to come out of my shell and reconnect with my own creative voice, Driftwood & Linen is my way of honoring the little details that make life beautiful — a well-set table, a quiet game night, the comfort of a thoughtfully decorated space. I’ve always believed that the beauty we decide to surround ourselves with isn’t just about style — it’s about how you show up in the world. With warmth. With care. With intention.

And while I juggle all the things — motherhood to three wonderful kids, marriage, three dogs, one rabbit (who really runs the house), and all the organized chaos of our daily life — I’m learning that starting something new doesn’t have to be loud or fast. It can be slow, thoughtful, and deeply rooted. It can be exactly what you want it to be.

This blog will be part of that journey. A place where I can share what inspires me — from gift ideas and products I love, to stories about entrepreneurship, community, and building a life with heart.

So here’s to new beginnings, to trusting the timing, and to finally stepping into a space I’ve dreamed of for years.

If you’re reading this, thank you. Truly. I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

<3,
Amanda
